House Tour

Today I want to share some of the other rooms in my sister's house that we decorated this past summer. This house is huge and it was a big challenge to do. We started on bookshelves since they did not have any other furniture in the house for a couple months.(While still working on things around the house.)

Here's their  living room with the two built-in bookshelves and huge mantle. I made the clock on the mantle out of pallet wood. They are still looking for a rug and probably leather couches. Any suggestions for a rug?

We did a mixture of old and new, can you tell the old from the new?

They had a artist come and do special paint job for the dinning room, hallways, and some of the other rooms. This one is really interesting, it looks a lot like copper.

This is what you see at the  entrance.

 And around the corner.

Here's the library/office. Most of the things in here are old.

We shopped all summer long to fill these shelves. Any guesses where?

Emily found this chair, and I love how it brings a little brightness to this dark room.

They have ordered a desk and chair that should be coming this week. I'm curious to see this room complete.

Anyone remember this chalkboard we did a while back?  This was our home warming gift to them. We don't have any pictures of the kitchen right now, maybe soon. Hope you enjoyed the tour, and know you don't have to spend a ton to make things beautiful around you!

  4. Great house! You’ve done a great job in renovating your sister’s house. I’m sure she’s really grateful for your creative ideas, isn’t she? It’s been a while now, and I hope you’re maintaining the beauty of the house. Hope you’ll be able to share a tour of your own home. Thanks! :)
